3. Wetsuits: As a REMINDER, wetsuits are not mandatory, but are strongly recommended. Please note that if the water temperature is below 18°C at the time of the race, wearing a wetsuit will be mandatory. Please make arrangements to be prepared for this possibility. The water temperature will be measured when the buoys are placed. The website will be updated to clearly indicate whether or not a wetsuit is required. Be sure to check it on Friday evening.

4. Open-water swimming buoy: If you are not accompanied by a kayaker or stand-up paddleboarder, we strongly recommend using an open-water swimming buoy. We will have a few available for rent at a cost of $10 or for sale at a cost of $30. Please bring cash.

5. Finish: Chicken soup will be waiting for you when you get out of the water. Coffee, fruit, and snacks are also available. The awards ceremony will begin approximately 2 hours after the first competitor finishes. We will continue to record times after the ceremony begins.

6. Withdrawal: if you decide not to start, we would greatly appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible by replying to this email.

7. Rescheduling/Cancellation: If weather conditions do not permit the event to take place, rescheduling or cancellation will be considered to ensure the safety of participants. In accordance with the terms and conditions provided at the time of registration, no refunds will be issued.
